Hello fellow fordbarners, I've been away for a while. Finally got my fender done and painted with the side mount indent. I have the mount kit all painted and some stainless bolts purchased. I am open to any suggestions as to properly installing the mount rack. Does anyone have any measurements? My spare is a 16" wheel. I thought maybe of folding up a blanket over the newly painted spare indent and setting the wheel and tire on it before marking the holes to be drilled. Kind of hoping someone has a better idea. The bottom legs or bar slant quite a bit towards the cab. I've seen a few photos with a similar slant but others are straight. I have found one Ford diagram but no measurements yet regarding exactly where to drill the holes in the body. Obviously I'm a little hesitant to pick up a drill and start cutting into the body until I'm sure. Thanks - John.
