I'm looking for a source for Ford Model A ad's. Reproduction prints are OK. I have a '28 Tudor ......so my aim is to use these ads as a display when I'm at a show. It help's educate people about the car. Thanks in advance for your input!

Greatlakes welcome to the Barn..

There is a ton of info out there. Please do a few searches, and you will have more information than you need.

Yes, there is lots of info on the internet, color photos of Model A's etc. However, what I'm looking for is the early advertising, printed in newspapers and magazines. I'm going to attach a file.... What happens when these photos show up, they are a photo copy of the ad.....why is that an issue...I want to blow this up to a readable ad. One can't do that when the printing gets distorted when enlarging it. So my option is to find a source that has already made the ad readable when enlarged.

After combining my father's Model A ad collection with mine, I have found lots and lots of duplicates (he founded the Model A Ad Collectors group and had one of every ad that was printed in the US). So I have ended up with a hug selection of duplicate original Ford Model A magazine ads that we will be offering for sale at Hershey (along with many original Ford Model A sales brochures, owners manuals and parts books as well).

PM me and I'm sure I can help you with what you are looking for.

Most magazine ads are small. It's hard for people to see them.

To display one or two at a show with your car, you will want to scan them and print them as a larger poster size print, probably mounted to foam board. You don't even need the original ad for that, if you can get someone to send you a good, high-resolution scan to print from.

If you can get a larger size ad, like from the Saturday Evening Post, scanned for you, you'd be in business!

The original ad I have for my '29 Phaeton is quite small. It would not blow up too well.

GreatLakes.... join the website www.newspapers.com and you can search thru thousands of original newspapers and FORD advertising, then you can save them as JPEG files and enlarge to your hearts desire. Go to the MAFCA website and also search "Model A era advertising" and you will see a lot from myself and John LaVoy and several others..... you can search ebay for ads too and purchase them from auctions for mounting and displays. they are everywhere. GOOD LUCK!

I have an original 1927 newspaper ad for The New Ford, with a Tudor that I will be glad to send you. It’s about 18x24, laminated.
Send me an email at Vern190A@cox.net
