Adjusting Modulator on FMX

Can anyone tell me the proper way to adjust the transmission modulator on my 69 Torino with a FMX 3 speed trans. The trans. shifts out of low gear very soon after takeoff. I would like it to stay in low gear longer. The car has an original 69 FMX trans. behind a 72, 351 Cleveland. Thanks.

Not real familiar with the FMX but on the C-4 you turn the vac modulator adjustment screw clockwise for later (and harder) shifts. make small adjustments (half to one turn) at a time and check until you get it where you like it. Don't turn it in more than 4 turns.

I would assume the FMX is the same. check you lines for vacuum leaks while your under there.
