Adjustable Seats ??

I'm new to the Model A world and am wondering which models have adjustable seats before I start looking. I'm tall and found out this weekend that a P.U. won't work as a daily driver. Any suggestions for us 6'2" types ? Thanks ..

Smart thinking! I would stay away from Coupes, Roadsters and other two seaters. Even if there are adjustable seats, the back of the seat cannot go beyond the package tray behind it. I think your best bet will be Sedans. It will also depend on your shoe size. I have a heck of a time getting my feet between the corner of the seat and the edge of the kick panel. Ed

Sedans and I recommend tudors they sell accessory parts that will allow the seats to go back. Non of these cars were made for 6+' people.

The other sedans can be modified to allow you to fit.

I'm 6' 4" and the longer seat arms work very well, the difference between the two can be seen here, drive's seat has longer arms, passenger has standard ones. (ignore the Remington 870, my tribute to Mitch in PA, and this is 1931 Tudor:

The Tudor Deluxe (late 31) had a sliding seat installed. That design was carried over to the 32s. My 31 Deluxe seat goes back like Mikes, as it is on a "sawtooth" type track. Ron

A friend found a set of old Tudor style brackets that set my seat back 4" from the base hole. Perfect fit. Could they be from an early Victoria? What did they use with their lower steering column?

I think all Town Sedans have adjustable seats. At least my 1930 Briggs Town Sedan had an adjustable seat. (Wish I still had it!)

I have modified a couple of Tudors by replaced the God Awful front buckets with ( in my case) escort seats. Thanks to Pete for the tip. There are also mods that incorporate fabed adjustable rails.

My Tudor has the modern adjustment on the driver's seat. It also raises it up a bit so that helps even more.

I'm 6'2", with a 34" inseam and am very comfortable in my '30 Coupe with it's (factory) adjustable seat. I currently am running it with the adjustment 1" from being all the way back. I have been driving this car for 55 years and have loved every mile.............

I'm 6'-3" with 34" inseam...I have issues with the clutch / brake pedal...
my knee hits the steering wheel...
I have thought about modifying seat / package tray...but not gotten around to it...

I'm 6'4", and sat in a club members '28 Business Coupe. He had the seats upholstered to give him more room, and it was way more comfortable than my stock Tudor seats. that said, I wouldn't give up on the pickup, I bet you could figure out how to squeeze in there.

30-31 coupe should work as by my brother and I are well over 6'.

A late coupe with the ratchet type seat frame (all metal frame) or the slant bodies will give you more room overall. Ford started adjusting the seating position for a bit more room by 31.

Notice I am building a slant window cabriolet.

28-29 roadster pickups are not for you! I almost got stuck in one.
