Anyone know where one could purchase an adjustable drag link,I've seen them advertised before but I can't locate them now,Thanks

Probably to center the steering wheel spokes?

The same effect can be accomplished on the two tooth boxes by shimming the lower bearing cup.

When rebuilding RHD & LHD steering boxes with new parts , twice we have found that zero free play is when wheels are at 11 0clock LHD & 1 oclock RHD, An ajustable drag link allows you to set zero free play in straight ahead position, You can cut a tie rod & re thread one end to take a another tie rod end , may be a clearance issue so need to check. As this has happened twice i know of its, posible that repo sector is slightly out. No doubt if you have built a number of boxes using repo parts you may have encountered this , let us know here, We have supplied a number of RHD & LHD ajustable boxes to custmers,Plus other RHD parts , Derek from sunny Nelson.

A bent spindle arm can make the steering wheel not centered.

As can the front axle being bent.

As one drives, hitting objects in the road tends to "curl" the front axle around the front spring perch - and this puts the entire left handed spindle closer to the arc of the pitman arm - and changes the location of the wheel spokes relative to the straight ahead position.

EVERY front axle I have shows this damage to greater or lesser degree. I picked the best of the bunch for use on the car now but the next axle I will be straightening - cold - in a press.

And checking the alignment of the various holes/mountings.

I've tried to find a pix of the tool used to do this...

The model T tool (same) in use.

When I put a shortened pitman arm on my car, I had to make an adjustable drag link to center the steering box when the wheels were going straight ahead.

You can straighten your axle as we did here
