We're outta' here, maybe the "Big Boys" will come back & things will be "normal" in The Ol' Barn. Bill W. & Buster T. (Our lips are sealed!)

Hey Bill,
Calm down, have Buster put you on the couch and let's talk this over..thru sealed lips:)
Now you've got me wondering if your health is getting worse ? Heck, if it ain't that....it ain't nothing worth messing with out minds,eh:confused:

I am sorry I do not agree with "it is just the Internet", communications is communications, regardless of the form. Kindness and respect is how we as humans should communicate with each other.

YES you do meet them, if any went to OSH KOSH National and wore our FORD BARN buttons we all met each other.. KINDNESS and RESPECT...AMEN@

Kindness and respect is fine but some people are just not going to give it to you and you should just ignore them and move on.
As for my comment" its just the internet"; some people really let far off people they never met bully them. Its prevalent with our youth.
What I meant is that people who have no influence in your life other that some post on an internet web site are not to be bothered with. Odds are you won't ever meet 90% of them and if you do then you can deal with them in person. I never let anyone bother me, especially strangers.

Yo Bill, if you are looking. I went back and read all of the threads on the first two pages and I don't see the problem. As for the so called big boys,The barn is the BEST EVER without them and if this chaps a few butts, too bad. Nobody has been forced to leave, nobody forced anybody to read posts that they didn't like. There are a few that feel that they have the right to force their opinions on others. I don't care what anybody does with their cars. I will continue to do mine as I please. If I see someone asking for help and I feel that I can help, I will post how that I did mine.

You should know that you've got lots of friends here. Hell, we just appointed you as the MAYOR!!!!!!! I enjoy the humor and read all of your posts. Its your choice, I for one hope that you reconsider!!!

Calm down, Bill. Life is too short. When I was very young my dad told me, "Don't quit the team because there's one kid you don't like. That only hurts you, and he doesn't care."

Really, the lack of knowledge and experience is good? Let alone those with the resources and willingniess to put in time doing research. I find less and less useful things to read every day. Rod

There is plenty of knowledge and experience here, without the attitude. Nobody forced anybody to leave, it was their own hoity toity attitude.

I think Bill feels the Ford Barn has become considerably much like EBay has become for our hobby. On our Ford Barn a way too many persons access the forum to ask a question that was discussed previously many, many times, without taking the time to use the search feature of the site. The best experts have answered have many of the questions before. If you do not agree with their expert opinion, then you have the right to disregard and move on. We need to remember many of these people have forty to seventy years experience with the Model A.
Sure..... there is the modern aspect that comes into the equation, but let us show respect for everyone's opinion.

Its like EBay, a few years back you could find real good Model A parts, such as good original or NOS. Then auto parts supply companies came onto the site and screwed everything up, with listing modern parts and accessories, times several times over, 30 to 40 separate listings in a row, and many time over, using statements like; "Fits Model A". When you are fed crap over and over you finally get tired, give up, and throw in the towel.

Bill may be of the same opinion.

Rather than try to cajole one disgruntled guy to stay with The Barn, which only exists because of ALL OF US, I would say
Bye Bill

Bill has been here for years, over 3000 posts and is well liked by many. You should hope people feel the same for you after you have been a part of this group that long! After 17 posts ----- really

This will be a very significant loss ! His knowledge and his humour are very important additions to the site ! Hopefully he will reconsider.
Kind Regards, Al

Well, I guess I'll add my 2 cents to this fine mess::eek:

Cent No.-1, It would not be unexpected if Bill came back on tomorrow with a "Surprise, April Fools!":)

Cent No.-2, I personally couldn't give an S......H.....I......T what people
think and say about me or anybody else on this forum. I'm here to learn,
inform, communicate and maybe laugh with fellow Model-A Ford enthusists from all over the world. I've never met anybody "bad" on this board. People that might
not see things the same way I do for sure, but that's what makes the 'ol world go round. Example: I described my '29 roadster and what I will be
doing to it in one thread a while back. One of the "purist" made a comment that my car will look like a "A Clown Car!".......so..:p. After thanking about it awhile to myself I said: "what a great idea for a name
for the car!" For years I had been wondering what to call the car. And
here somebody who I guess was being a little judgemental. Gave me what
had had me stumped: the clown car. Wow, imagine that?!?!

WHOA! FRIENDS, should'nt have made an "announcement", just didn't want to quit & folks might think I was sick or died.
I received a SCATHING P.M. from a "MAJOR CONTRIBUTOR" about how I had destroyed Ford Barn from being a creditable info site. He used $3.00 words that he probably thought I wouldn't understand! The words were hurting, MAN! them words would remove hair from your TOENAILS! Maybe I'm smarter than I pretend to be, after all, I have a 37 1/2 I.Q! He mentioned NOTHING about good proven advice I've contributed, as that's my main mission here. It's apparent he hasn't even a "funny" bone in his elbow!
I'm inundated with P.M.'s today, might not be able to answer them all, but THANKS!
Model A stuff should be FUN, even for serious folks competing for trophies, certificates, recognition, etc.
I'll reconsider my decision, I know sometimes I over post & get overly stupid & corny at times, but the Dog likes me!
Bill W.
