Acetone/ATF home brew for stuck engines?

I have a one cylinder Maytag engine that has a stuck piston. I mixed up some acetone and ATF, but it seperates very rapidly. I'm going to try it on the stuck Maytag piston. If I remember right that is an aluminum piston. Does acetone have any adverse effects on aluminum? Thanks

Ed's Red might be a good solution to try.
It's equal parts of :
1. Kerosene
2.Paint Thinner
3.Acetone
4. Automatic Transmission Fuild

It's popular with people who clean the bore of their rifles. Give it a try !

What is the old Ford stuff called? I remember Dexron and the Ford style from years ago but don't know the name to ask for.
