Below are two photos that may be helpful. As for the components in your photo, you can best judge whether or not you have the correct spring by orienting its position to that in the first photo below.

The cover that you have appears to have the large semi-circular opening for the end of the accelerator cross shaft offset from the two holes for the screws that attach the cover to the firewall. The original did not have such an offset and therefore what you have will not work. Further, if you look closely at the pedal end of the cross shaft in my photos you will note that unlike a '33-34 V8 accelerator cross shaft which ends at the pedal, the four-cylinder version is extended beyond the pedal to the arm for the hand throttle cable attachment. Therefore the cover must have the large semi-circular opening on both sides for the cross shaft to pass through it.

You may not be able to find the correct cover with large semi-circular holes on both sides, but you can readily add the second hole to a V8 cover.

Thanks for the quick reply. I’ll place the spring tomorrow. The extended cross shaft is not needed. The 33 pickup throttle rod is linked into the pedal linkage on the top of the firewall. Your project is coming along very well!
