Aaa license plate topper

[FL&WVMIKE]

Who knows the story of this Southern California AAA license plate topper ?
It says "GOOD ROADS".
It is of good quality being made of stainless and copper.
Thank you,
MIKE

Thank you for bringing that to my attention. That tie-bar is exactly like mine. The price seems reasonable too. Someone, on here, offered to buy mine. If I can find his message, I'll tell him about that.
I don't really collect them, but when I find "stuff" like that, I put it in a showcase.
Thanks again,
MIKE

I don't know a lot about the "Good Roads" program, but I think it was organized to promote autos and driving. Check Wikipedia for some more info.

There are some "GOOD ROADS" license toppers on E-Pay, like mine, but they are one piece aluminum castings. The vendor does not claim that they are reproductions, but to "make up your own mind". LOL

These license toppers are fun if you've redone your car to look somewhat stock. This Mobil topper is a repro from e-Bay.
