AA Truck u-joints

I am looking for rear u-joints that fit the 28-29 Double A truck which have 6 and 10 splines,I will consider joints that have SOME WEAR, may also consider the riveted type if in good condition.

I have been collecting AA parts for a project and think I have the u-joint your looking for. It is the rivited type and in very good shape. It is from a 30/31,
I think they are the same. I'm still learning about the AA's. Looking for a cowl
with firewall. Gary

Hello Gary,
If the u-joint is riveted it is most likely an early one as I believe they went to a conventional style in 29 sometime, to Id it as an AA it will have 10 splines at one end, 1-1/4" across and 6 at the other, I see no way to post pics on PMs, send a pic to my e-mail btreserdern@san.rr.com. The AA u-joint I prefer to have is the one in the middle pic you sent me, the one you have above is a front joint used with a service kit that came out in late 31, I believe never factory installed. the BB used one just like it but larger, AA joints are cheap in my area of the country, there are not many looking for them as apposed to A joints, and the sellers would rather get what they can for them than haul them home.
The reason I am looking for the 28-29 rear joint (even one with wear) is we have 2 retired machinist in our club and they see no reason that they cant be modified to install a modern u-joint kit.
Its nearly always the rear joint that buyers are looking for and thats a problem, I have now seen 5-6 variations 30-31, the buyer must have a pic and some measurements to get the right part.
