AA engine splash pans extra hole

I see after Oct 1929 the engine splash pans, per the Judging Standards and Restoration guidelines, only have the rear side of the pans use the oil pan bolt at the rear to hold them up from the bottom on the engine side. The front side hole tab was removed. The 3 frame bolt holes remain intact.

Also, there was a new hole on the frame side for the AA trucks after June 1930, which was not used on cars.

Exactly how far apart is the extra 4th hole on the newer style pan from the front regular hole? I considered drilling an extra hole on the driver side pan and cutting off the front tab on both my reproduction pans so that they are more like original.

I assume the front of the splash pan then just hangs under the engine pan, so it does not break off as often and that is why the back tab is all that was used after Oct 1929?

Anyone have the measurement or comments?
