aa engine-bb trans

hello!
i have an old doodlebug with a model AA engine and a BB transmission.
Im guessing the flywheel housing is model a, but what about the clutch housing? Is the clutch and clutch housing the same on model AA and BB?

I've read somewhere that the B flywheel housing is a direct bolt on to a model A engine, or was it the other way around?

The BB trans that i have is marked:
BB-7008
WG
Not sure what WG stands for?

Thanks
Hans

The mating surfaces of the AA bellhousing and the BB bellhousing are different. The AA has a lip on the flange that mates with the groove in the A flywheel housing, and the BB bellhousing has no lip.

This may also help you determine what you have.
aa had pedals attached to bellhousing.
bb had pedals on the frame.

thanks for the help sir's.

took a few pictures of the trans today, here they are.

the engine says AA-1302274.

anybody know the year its made?

thanks
Hans
