AA dual high oil lever?

i have a 1934 Ford passenger car rear axle assy someone spliced a AA dual backwards as an overdrive into the driveshaft and shortened the length so it fits a 1932 Ford , i wnt thru it and fixed some problems with it i have it in a nostalgic chassis but io need to know how much oil to put into it...does anyone have a specification....

I see in the 28-32 parts book a AA-4844-R oil level dipstick maybe 6" long so i think i need about 1 Qt or less in the bottom....mine just has a 1" pipe plug in the filler hole.
