A400 on ebay

[dpson]

I was an unsuccessful bidder on this A400: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Ford-Model-...add1ff8b:g:ffIAAOSwgY9XedtL&item=282089095051

Certainly not for the purists; but with a balanced engine, Borg-Warner overdrive and juice brakes would be a great driving car.

Seems like a reasonable price for an A400, but maybe I'm missing something.

Somebody did very well indeed

My very favorite of all Model A Fords. Wayne

They do sell for strong money in driver condition... It just was not meant to be

[Jeff/Illinois]

That was a nice car. I read where it was originally a Midwest car found it's way to California, was in the A-400 Club maybe was a MAFCA member car. Interesting.

The B engine and other modifications may not have helped the value.

[ronn]

the price seems about right

there was one about 2 months ago on the bay that was all apart.

couldnt reach 8k and seller had a higher reserve.

Nice cars seem to make 35-40k they are real nice looking cars, though I hear mention of the top being a pain when down as to visibility.

Should be a great car to drive. Hope you enjoy.

What a nice car. Seems like good buying to me. Try finding a B400 in this condition for a similar price?

As a former owner of a 400-a I can tell you they are one of the prettiest Model A's made but in my experience the MOST uncomfortable Model A I have ever driven.

Why was it uncomfortable??

Like comparing a 31 A roadster to a 32 B roadster-impossible to compare. Production was sooooo much lower in 32.
The last B 400 I saw was for sale for about 250k
