What is it between the glass and frame ?
What is on outside of frame ?


Also where to buy, or alternatives

What is on outside of frame ? Paint or some are plated??? Am I reading your question correctly?

You can get glass setting rubber tape at Bert's or Snyder's (and I am sure others) that goes between the glass and the frame. You can find video's online to explain the tricks for holding the tape in place and installing the glass (install wet with water, use electrical tape to hold the rubber, etc). It takes some patience but is not difficult.

The rubber setting tape is a PIA.
Find cork bedding ….if you can
Or at least the one with a cloth backing…haven’t seen that in awhile
