A V8 & F1 Pedals

I am putting a late flat head with a '39 transmission in a '29 roadster. I was planning on using a modified F1 cross member to bolt the rear of the transmission to and use the F1 Pedals and master cylinder as they bolt to the cross member. I just had to move the pedals and master cylinder holes closer to the center of the car. No big deal. However, I sat in it and the pedals are way too close for my long legs. I am now thinking about going to a firewall mounted master cylinder and pedals. I am old school and don't want to go with any new aftermarket firewall pedals. I need advise. Who made firewall mounted pedal/master cylinder assemblies? I heard '54 Dodge trucks had them. Any where else? I'd like to keep it Ford. I really need some advise. Thanks. jknecht@colgate.edu

Hi, please dont do the firewall mount, it's not going to look right. I've used the F1 trans mount and pedals on alot of projects from model T to A. You just need to shorten the length of the pedals, any good tig welder should be able to do that. Then you can flip the bird to the guy at the swap meet trying to get $750 for a 32 K-member
