I had problems with my original steering which is documented here. I needed to steer my car, though, so I could work on other things. So it's still on the car and useful for test rides.
I bought a column and box unseen with the intention of rebuilding it myself. It was in sad shape too. The bearings were worn and the races pitted. I started searching locally for someone to press the parts off and on with mixed success, then I started to price all the parts and...to make a long story short, I decided to buy a completely rebuilt unit from another Ford Barner who knows what he's doing. I really have a lot of other issues with the car I'd like to focus on now.
I have this unit in pieces. I could re-assemble it but you'd just have to take it apart anyway. I could box up the parts and send them to you. I paid $75 but would be willing to take the best offer plus shipping so that I could invest in other needed parts. It's a two tooth. Thanks guys!
p.s. don't worry about offending me with a low offer. If you can use it, and I can get it out from underfoot, we both would benefit.
