I don't know who started the Idea that you can remove the filler plug on a Houdaille shock ,Install a grease fitting fill with chassis grease and have a functional shock, { AIN'T GONA HAPPEN NO WAY NO HOW }
All that is going to do is make the shock re builder work that much harder and slow up the process on getting your shocks back to you guys.
i think i just learned recently that the " A" and `32 type shocks are not 50/50 action, but rather 60/40. if that is true,
can you tell me which way they go? so i can tell what side they go on?
do they go up with more resistance than they go down?
thanks.
BILL . . . . . . . . . . . . I think that old wives tale has been around for decades. It probably started during the depression, when people had no money, but had worn out shocks. That seemed to be a simple fix. Maybe it did stiffen them up a bit, for a while. MIKE
Probably the same guy who decided to fill my steering box with grease instead of 600 w. We got her fixed up correctly now. For shocking indeed Glycerine be in need.
