A question of fan belts !

I was wondering what is the correct type and length of fan belt for the Model A ?. A friend of mine ordered one from one of the parts suppliers and a B-41 belt arrived in a bag with Ford script on it ! It seems to fit alright but might perhapes be a little long. Looks as if it were tensioned just a little more that the generator would touch the lower water pipe !
Just curious before I run in town to get one.... Robert

I use B-41's from NAPA. I haven't noticed them being too long.

Possibly he is running the long generator with the ealier water pipe. Rod

Should be a 43. They sell them at Bratton's and other Model A stores. The NAPA B series belts are made for industrial purposes, not automotive. They will work but not as long. I have been able to use a 42 and 44......generous adjustment, at least on my car-----IMHO.

I had the exact same issue! The belt I bought from Snyders was too long. I went and picked one up at NAPA.. a 43 inch belt.
