A New Ford Barn Is Coming...

Migrating to XenForo will be a welcome change for folks who regularly access FB on their phones. Hopefully the current photo size limits will also go the way of the dodo.

Much appreciated; this isn't the first or only forum I participate on that has had to change over the years (actually decades) to keep current - after the transition, I've found that most folks very quickly get used to whatever the new is, and forget about the old.

Ryan, I have often pondered how you manage to keep this forum running as well as you do.
Changes? For an old guy like me changes are actually welcomed. It's another opportunity to challenge myself and learn something new.

Thank you for YOUR efforts.

I was wondering about the impact when I heard about the vulnerability yesterday. I’m looking forward to change as I never figured out how to post full-size pics here. Lol!

"XenForo is an Internet forum software package developed by former vBulletin lead developers, designed for creating and managing online communities. It was first released on March 8, 2011, and is written in PHP."

"XenForo forum software includes features such as structured discussion threads, customizable permissions, a powerful moderation system, and extensive authoring tools for creating rich content. Additionally, it supports direct messaging, user reactions, and has a robust search functionality."

Basically changing Fordbarn to 12 volt, and replacing the mechanical brakes with hydraulics. Just don’t suggest any T-5’s.

Thanks Ryan. Nothing is as constant as change.....wishing you the best staying one step ahead of them.

Well, from what I remember, we came close to not even having the Ford Barn. Used to be a message board format that was dying off. I don’t recall exactly why it was going to end, but there was no one that was willing to take it over. Ryan came along and kept it going.

Not all of them can be saved. There was a very popular Ford Falcon Forum that died off around 2017, “The Ford Falcon Network” aka TFFN. Very detailed and tech heavy forum. I heard a number of people tried, but Unfortunately, couldn’t be saved.

So, it’s good to see the Barn continue and I look forward to the improvements.
