'A' movies

Not to steal this thread, but the AA truck used in The Green Mile lives in Clarksville Tenn, about 300 feet off I-24.

Episode 3 of the HBO mini series "The Pacific" has the US Marines on break in Australia. A few scenes show a right hand drive Model A outside Lackie's girlfriends house. In both scenes, the "owner" is doing some kind of repair on it. Made me chuckle a little bit!

The King Kong version from a couple of years ago used a lot of New Zealand Ford Barners' cars.
I understand they flipped the "film" for left hand drive steering wheels on the parked RHD cars.
The A taxis were computer created except the one with the roof ripped off by Kong belonged to a Fordbarner from New Zealand.

O BROTHER WHERE ART THOU When John goodman gets in the vicky I just know the seat is adjusted way back,

TWO BITS a movie filmed in PHILADELPHIA, our local club provided the cars for the movie. I would never do it again they were very hard on the cars.

I don't watch most shows with old cars in them because the idiot directors abuse and destroy them.I refuse to make some fool rich who destroys something I love. If it isn't a big chase/wreck um up movie then they can be nice to watch.

"Three Wise Girls" with Jean Harlow was released in 1932, but there's a great Model A product placement scene, with people in the star's home town drooling over and discussing a "new model" '31 sedan and telling kids not to touch it. The scene is actually part of the plot; folks "back home" aspire to a new Model A while the star moves to NYC and ends up with a Cadillac town car.

There is a German movie that was made about the "Wannsee Conference".
This conference actually took place and is where the Nazi's planned the
the details for the Holocost. I think the flick was made back in the 1980's. In the opening scenes the camera pans the parking lot were all
the Nazi big-wigs have there cars parked. Well, right in the middle of the
Maybacks, Mercedes-Benz's, etc. Is a 1930 Model-A Ford town sedan!
