If you are referring to the "A" board I think you are I left over 7 months ago and never went back even to look. No reasons for the insults that I got there, after all that's why I have a wife, its her job.:D

You are 100% right. I am glad people here are respectful and nice.I think I know the other board you are talking about.I do not post on it anymore.Got tired of being insulted for asking a simple question.
Thanks to the moderators here for having a clean site you can enjoy with your son and not be afraid you will run up on some filth.
Thanks to everyone here.Rex

You are right guys this and the HAMB (except for a coupe) are really great sites. I think for the most part it is the age group of members we are dealing with that makes the difference.
Hop on a Honda forum where the age group is 14-20yo and the tension and flaming will be through the roof!

In the early 70's I wish there would of been something like this for persons like me. I was not very old and didn't know anybody that could help me learn by trail and error. It would of helped alot. Thank you all we have a great thing here don't miss this up.

Well here's something we all seem to agree upon... it's a great site. I'm pleased to see all the follow-ups to my posting. Coming to this forum is something I do every day, like reading the paper and doing the crossword. Thank you to everyone who makes this site what it is.

Well said words above. "The Barn" is a site to receive and distribute ideas and sound advice in a civil manner. Although I don't post often, I "Read" others post almost every day. Thanks Ryan for the excellent service you provide.

It's called PRIDE and RESPECT. It was accepted as Normal "back in the day" as they say. A little of each can go a long way. It seems to have found a home here on this Forum.

Way to Go Barners.................................:D:):p:cool::rolleyes:

Now if it would only spill over into a natonal standard starting with national politics.

This site is a real "BARN FIND," a treasure trove of help, sharing info, sharing skills that took years to acquire from others, to learn from experience, from trials, successes, failures, and I could go on, and on. CHIEF, (my dad) taught me to put humor into how car crap functions and into diagnosing and repairing these danged contraptions! He taught me to be amazed at men's ingenuity to design and build this stuff. I came from a backwoods Model A center, under a huge oak tree, at the end of of a mile and a half dirt road in southeast Oklahoma, where Chief taught me about the finer points of A Model repair. DAMN, he was good!
I have dealership experience with Ford, Chrysler-Plymouth, Volvo, Nissan, Jaguar, Citroen, Sunbeam, anyhow, I've picked up a few skills and tricks over the years and I love to share them.
Some of the humor can help make my day, as Pat is in a dementia care home, and this is a good distraction for me.

You hit the nail on the head. We tend to be on the middle-aged and up side, and have not only come from an age where men opened doors for women, but have aquired some smarts and patience along the way. People on the younger forums have not only lost a lot of respect for fellow humans (eg: when did you last see a 20yo hold a door open for his girlfriend?), but have grown up in a faster paced world where patience is becoming a rarity. I'm generalising, of course.

Agree, Agree & Agree ! this is one place where a person can go and get a solid answer on their questions without feeling foolish. Thanks to all of you Guys/Gals
