A good chuckle

Did he mention that he paid H & H $15K for the engine?

Maybe it include a huge stash under the seat.

How about hitting a bump in a tight turn? The front tires sure would take paint off the bottom edge of the fenders...... Gar Williams

Oh, I forgot to mention this is not my picture or my car (seen above), I think it originated at the tijuana walmart...:)

I thought H&H had a very good reputation, we don't know the whole story the owner could have installed ignition or carbs or something else that causes it to run like crap, I wouldn't be too quick to point the finger and trash someones reputation. That being said almost $70k for a Model A Hot Rod is about $50k too much unless it has some history or really rare stuff on it.

That is a hot rodders dream, is there anything original on it, and you are right about H&H, ive bought engines from them and had a few problems, mostly rear main leaks, they have always fixed the problem with out any questions or blame, good people

I agree. For that money it should run like a Swiss watch first and foremost.

I think the engine was $15K because of the OHV conversion, ignition custom headers, etc. now I'm not defending it, I'm just saying that if they did every bit of the engine work, chrome headers, aluminum polishing, etc... I don't think it would be impossible to rack up a bill that high at their hourly shop rate. Nuts? Yes. Impossible? No.

While I know that particular car might not be the style most on here like, the truth is, that is a beautiful truck. There is no way though that the cheapest vehicle Henry made is worth putting a hundred grand into. I find that hard to believe. It might bring 20k to the right buyer. Most everyone would change a lot on it anyway.

I personally love the little truck, I can see how the bills add up. Yes it's not original but to a hot rodder, that is an awesome little ride. His price is a little steep but you never know....

I thought the cabriolet I saw posted somewhere the other day at about 38K was a little much bt this one takes the cake, especially with a "skip". JMO

I'm an Open Pickup fan. We have driven "Homer" for almost 16,000 miles. That's the number I like to keep track of and add to. That other number -- with the $ in front -- is one that I like to forget about, but can't. We aren't quite to $50K yet, but if prices keep going up our next set of tires (Homer got new 21" Goodyears last spring) may put us over the top!

As Don Points out, it is in bad taste to reply to the Actual add with negativity, That is not where I wanted my posting to go I am editing my first post above and would hope the negative posts in the for sale posting would be edited as well.

Very nice looking truck.
Overpriced? Probably.
Is there other things listed in the sale section? YES
Doe's the poster deserve to get bashed? NO
