A chain drive conversion

Recently picked up an A project that sat unfinished for 15 years or so. It has a chain drive conversion on it. Engine is an A, trans is AA, differential is worm drive AA, and a chain driven dead axle. There are mechanical brakes in the chain driven hubs and the A brake rods hook right up to them. It appears that a portion of the A frame was cut off under the seat and a formed set of 4" c channels inserted to bolt the axles to. Anyone have an idea of the manufacturer of this lash up

Here's a similar one and you can see part of another one.

I've seen a 'twin screw' AA built for building the Hoover, now Boulder, dam. It had Ford part numbers stamped on every piece. I've never seen or heard of any others like it. Sorry, no pics. Twin screw is a 3 axle truck with both rear axles having differentials.

Lets take another run at this. Attached is another, more comprehensive photo of this drive conversion. The AA worm-drive axle has been narrowed and apparently different hubs installed to accommodate the sprockets. It is apparent that this is not your average bolt on conversion kit that the do it yourselfer could tackle back in the day. Any further insights on this lash-up????

I suspect it is not all that old. The square section tube that goes from one side of the chassis to the other looks like what we would buy today (out of China)

Looks like any trailer axle made here in the last 50+ years. I suspect regular Model A backing plates and drums on the axle with a chain added for drive. There are probably tractor wheels with the same Model A (AA) bolt pattern.

There were probably several companies that sold kits to convert your Model A to farm use.
