a brief rant about primer.....

our Town Sedan we bought in November was restored over 20 yrs ago.

it is a black car, but has pale gray primer under, so every little nick & ding in the paint shows a light colored spot.

to add insult to injury, all the chassis parts that were not primed at the factory have this same miserable pale gray primer.

have pity on the next generation! if you are painting the body a dark color, use dark primer! :p and how about NO primer on the chassis parts?

That is why it has been my preference for years to use a black primer. DP-90 has been my favorite since PPG first made it available. Gar Williams
