M mikhett Senior Member Aug 14, 2014 #4 Jeff If I got that same adapter but used the studs on my 62 galaxie xl!
JeffB2 Well-known member Aug 15, 2014 #5 The heat insulator shown would have the correct studs with it,what Carb were you going to use?
M mikhett Senior Member Aug 15, 2014 #6 autolite 4100 went in the gal.im putting in a Holley 600cfm elec choke carb on the 56 292 victoria!
paul2748 Well-known member Aug 15, 2014 #7 A 600 CFM carb is really too big for a stock 292. Around a 500 CFM would be better. I have had good luck with Edelbrocks right out of the box.

JeffB2 Well-known member Aug 16, 2014 #8 If you haven't bought the Holley consider this:http://www.summitracing.com/parts/sum-m08600vs Has the good qualities of the 4100 with upgrades and uses Holley parts to tune,in most cases a 2-3 more MPG than the Holley or Edelbrock.
