i have a chance to get a 94 crown vic that was a govt. fleet car 154000 miles police interceptor motor needs brake lines other then that its clean and runs good a/c works no trans problems what is this thing worth and am i looking for trouble with the mileage

I work for a law enforcement agency and fix cop cars for a living. The 150K miles isn't many, but how much idling time does it have, most of the CV's I work on will have 2 to 3 times the hours on them as a civilian car. The 4.6, 2 valve engine really has been a work horse, I have seen civilian vehicles with 400K miles, running perfectly. I am sorry to see it go away. Many people hate it because they. can blow a spark plug out and take the threads with it. In my fleet of 300 CV's, I have replaced 2 plugs and put in inserts in the last 18 months. The 4R70W transmissions are a good unit, in a cop car(abused?) they go 50K to 75K miles before we have to rebuild them. A civilian car(not abused) usually goes 150K without problems. Bottom line, a 94 CV, fleet or civilian, with 150K miles isn't worth over $500, simply because of its age and you have no idea how it was used or misused or maintained
