94 carburetor won't idle

Mine's been gone through a couple of times, new parts, etc., and my flathead runs smooth and has power at speed. But it won't idle. I suspect the carburetor but can't think of what may be wrong. Any thoughts out there?

I've moved the throttle linkage through the seasonal positions on the accelerator pump, but no change. The idle screw on the throttle is turned almost all the way in. I recently had to clean some junk out of the bowl and the jets (and the fuel pump) that was dredged up from the gas tank, but, as I say, I still get no idle even though the engine runs smooth when the accelerator is held in.

I'd welcome suggestions. How can I keep this baby from quitting at stoplights?

Thanks!

Carb needs going through by someone that knows what hes doing. You need to put a filter on there someplace. you will keep getting crap through the system, could also be comming from a deteriating fuel pump diaphram and or the valves in the pump if the rubber coated type. ken ct.

Hey, false alarm.....Our local expert, who I thought was out of town, was still here, and he helped me out of the problem. Thanks for anyone who read my post, and apologies for wasting anyone's time.
