94 carbs

Is there a special jet wrench made for the 94 carbs, similar to the one made for 97's? If so where can I buy one. also, I would like to know if the jets in the 94's are the same as holly 4 bbl. jets? thanks for any information anyone can give. all info and opinions welcome. I am also trying to sort out a tri-power set up that came on my new to me 30 coupe with a 272 Y-block. the end carbs are currently blocked off and there is no progressive linkage, only straight (all 3 at once ) linkage. I would like opinions and any info anyone can give to as far as jetting, power valves, and linkage goes. engine has 61 truck heads, valve size unknown. sounds like a mild cam. cam and cam spec's unknown. Timing is currently 16 Deg. on the crank, and a total of about 36 all in. not sure when all advance is all in as I did not have a tach hooked up when the ck for the advance was made. looking for a little help and to be pointed in the right direction to get this set-up going correctly. Thanks in advance for any help----Jim

While I do not know specifically the 94 carbs, I do know that they take the same jets as the 4 bbls.

Holly jets have been the same since 1955.Access for me has always been a bit wider than normal straight screwdriver to remove and install jets.

Your problem will be to find those smaller flow number jets used in those carbs. Getting tuff to find jets in those 40s and 50s number sizes.

The Stromberg 97 does require a tool designed for jet changing.

I just took a old beat up large straight blade screwdriver and ground it down to fit thru the float chamber plug holes. I also had to grind down the end to get it flat and wide enough to fit the slots in the jets.
It was an oddball old screwdriver anyway. Now that's all I use it for.

Looks like I will do the same. was wondering if there was a special tool that made it easier to change jets without removing the carb.. guess I will use the tool in my tune up tool kit that is made to hold the screws for the points. Thanks again everyone for your advise.----Jim
