"94" carb question

I read the thread about Chandler Groves...Maybe someone can tell me what I have.It was traded to me by an individual who told me it was a Chandler-Groves, but I see nothing on the carb to support that.
It has 94 inside the circular depression.
It has the fraction 15/16 on the left side if you are facing the 94.
It has model 91-99 cast on that same side.

On the right side facing the 94, it has the block letter F cast
followed by Ford (script) with USA cast

On the rear I see nothing.

There are no patent numbers on it that I can see.

If it has the "91-99" that will make it a Ford carb from '39-'41 I believe, Ken may chime in to verify. The "91" refers to the sequence of Ford parts introduced for the '39 Ford and the "99" refers to the sequence of Mercury parts introduced in '39. Hope this helps. Paul J.

If it has FORD script on the rt. side of the bowl and 91-99 onthe opposite side of the bowl drivers side its a 40-41 carb. Most all have the 94 in circle on the rear back of carb. ALL sides are figured on sitting in the drivers seat. Left for drivers side and right for passanger side, cant make it any clearer than that!! 39 carb says Chandler-Groves on the left side and is marked 91-99/ late 38 C.G. as far as i know was missing the 91-99 # on them. ken ct. "kens ford carburetors" Mike Kube on here might have more info. This is only my experiance with them. I have several of both styles show rebuilt.

Thank you for the responses.
Per your description, the Ford Script and made in USA is on the right and the 91-99 is on the driver side. so I guess it is a 40-41. There is no Chandler-Groves anywhere on the carb that I can find. It was traded to me as a correct 39 carb, so I guess I am going to have to look around at Charlotte a bit and see if I can come up with a '39 carb. No hurry, I guess. I have had the '39 apart for quite a while.

Ken ct hasn't had his coffee fix today. The 91-99 Ford script started in '39 as stated by svm99. The Ford script appears on the passenger (right) side as did the previous Chandler Grove name and patents. Can't make it any clearer than that, Ken!
