94 carb question

In the hump above the pump, backside??
This is one of several venting types used over the years. Others involve the oval depression near front center opened into a hole and a vent tube into the throat used after the war. I think the rear facing one you have correlates with about 1942, for early cars with high mounted fan.

Both are right, need to know better the location of the hole. ken ct.The heater hole can be plugged up with a piece of solder hammered into the holefrom both sides and file smooth on the outside, its almost invisible after you glass bead thetop. Ive plugged a hundred of them like this.ken ct.

I bought a i think a EUG from 52-53, from Texas had the same hole, read some where that it was an attempt to prevent boil over of fuel in hot weather. its plugged now (1/4" hole) put paper inside carb to form inside wall, stuffed hole hole to hold it there then epoxyed the outside color seems to match the carb Laurie
