I have what seems to be a common problem, in that probably the modern gas is evaporating after getting hot and setting for awhile. I have come up with some 1/4" phenolic spacers to install under the carb. I understand to put a gasket on both sides if using one spacer. But I think I have also read where it may require two to space the carb further away to help with the problem. If I need to install two, does it require another gasket between the two phenolic spacers? Also is there a common source for longer mounting studs to install in the intake to allow for the spacers? Thanks for any info you can provide.
