9" differential question

How do I identify a traction lock vs Standrad 3rd member?
I bought the one pictured.....someone said the 5/8 bolt head indicated a traction lock???
Are there different casting numbers?

If you look or stick your finger in the bolt side and look or feel for a spilt in the splines, its a traction loc. The inside spline is the spider gear and the outer one is the clutch pack. If no spilt in the splines, its a open rear, just a spider gear.

That's the most definitive way to tell one from another. I've posted a picture for anyone else who may want to see what you explained.
