D dnt39 New member Dec 22, 2013 #1 I have 1939 ford coupe ,that I install a 8v alt about 3 years ago. Now at higher rpm the voltage spikes between 10 and 11 volts. Would you think alt. or battery. Battery is 8v and about 5 years old
