8ba oil pump bottom gear pin

Just purchase a 8ba rebuild kit from Kanter, and the pin that hold the bottom gear on was not included. My original is tattered from removal... read somewhere on this site that the roll pins are not strong enough for oil pump torque . What's the go-to replacement for this item?
 
when i'm in need of a solid pin and don't want or don't have time to order one, i'll look for a finishing nail of the proper diameter, cut it to length and then bevel the ends if necessary.
 
Found some NOS pins, part # 18-6661. Also dug through other pumps, found a like new M-15 high volume pump with a roll pin... anyone need a high volume pump?
