8ba in a 1940 Pickup Problem

I am doing a 41 pickup. Bought Fenton headers and the extension pipes from Red. I had installed a dual brake master cylinder unit also. The extension pipe came very close to the MC and I had to have the extension bent to miss.

That's was a popular accessory manifold sold over the counter at Ford dealers. Bruce Lancaster is correct that it is for dual exhaust set up. Worth $50-$100 on ebay, but I've even seen it sell for as much as $300.
The manifold you want is the standard one that exits forward of the box that can also be used for dual exhaust. They so common that they hardly sell at all. You can pick one up at a swap meet for $10 or less, same on ebay --around $10. Don't bother with $300 Fenton, you may run into more trouble.

Thanks...whoever is running a flathead in their 40 or 41 pickups or cars, can you please post or send me pics of your progress. i would really appreciate the visual help...

Her are some pics of mine. They are not all that good since I had to take these as it sits on the gound. I think you should be able to see the basic configuration of stock manifolds and the Red's extention pipes.

So for those with a 8ba with 40 manifolds, is there a cross over pipe for a single pipe? I have manifolds on the left side that have a inlet/outlet at the front of the engine that is roughly 1" from the crossmember. Any ideas?
