8BA in 47 Merc.

If i remember correctly merc and trucks use the same style fork/bearing and interchange.
The 51-54 cars are a different style.
 
Not much more I can add except good luck and tell you that's a cool project.

A '46-'48 Merc convertible passed me in traffic yesterday believe it or not and it was just a beautiful car.
