8BA fuel pump

I have a 36' pickup with an 8BA motor. This truck has been sitting for nearly fifty years. I now have a running engine, but the fuel pump gave out after about ten minutes of run time. Looking to replace the pump, I am finding out that 8BA's use a fuel pump with a glass bowl. Is this correct? At this time, the engine is using a pump without. Is this the wrong part, or another example of "shade tree" mechanic work? Learning about flatheads as I go here. I don't want to replace with the wrong one. To a point now where I need to get a new gas tank and fuel pump to have extended run times. Any help would be appreciated.

The pump with or without bowl would be normal depending on where and when it was originally purchased. My '36 is very susceptible to air leaks on the suction side causing an almost instant stall. The feed line was most of the problem and the gasket around the pump cap was the rest. Good luck running down those leaks, but I'd try before buying a new pump.
