Good Afternoon.

8ba engine down draft tube - not sure that is what it is called? Tube that comes out of the front of the intake and drops down in front of the motor.

I have three brackets. One I believe is for the clamping of the two tubes. The other two I just dont know. Anyone have info/pictures of the tube?

Help! Thanks

If I remember correctly, the clamp that holds the two pieces together also has a tang that either attaches it to a timing cover bolt or water pump bolt. I don't remember there being any other clamp at the bottom end.

There are two types of road draft tube between Mercury 8CM/EAC types and 8BA standard type but both attach as previously explained. The upper question mark shaped tubes are all the same but the lower road draft tube has either of the two different types of bend. The L-shaped tab bracket bolts to the timing cover and the clamp has a slot shaped in that fits the tab to clamp it all up at the joint of the upper & lower tubes. The other clamp has an angled tab built into it for attachment to the oil pan rail.
