8BA block in a Model A frame

I consider my '41 Ford a street rod. It has a stroked and poked '47 Flattie with H&C 3/4 Cam, Johnson lifters, H&C Dual coil ignition, Offy heads and intake with a 315 Holly quad, Fenton cast iron hedders. Power brakes, Dropped axle, Disc brakes, Tinted glass and louvered hood. I think it is better off now than it was when it was sitting behind a barn rusting away.
But my AA will always be original with a few bolt-on accessories.

I was once told if you want to know the difference between a Street Rod and a Hot Rod, look in the trunk. The Hot Rod was tools and the Street Rod cleaning supplies.

As far as I know "Street Rod" is a more recent term than "Hot Rod" and generally plays to the billet crowd. Not judging, just sayin' :)

It sounds like a street rod to me. Replacing the original 4 cylinder with a V8 can hardly be considered original or stock. I'm sure other mods will go along with the V8 change, if it is done.

I agree with Chris.:)

The blue car is a streetrod the Roadsters are traditional Hot Rods or AV8 there are a big difference I personally think that back in the day people built Av8's a lot. when I see a streetrod model a I keep on walking, or any streetrod
