8BA advice needed

I have 2 8BA engines that have been gathering dust for years and need new homes. One is as found, 8RT heads, and stuck, the other is completely stripped, maybe tanked, and was a running engine with a broken center main cap. That one is mostly complete but all the nuts and bolts are missing.

My question is what is the best way to evaluate these engines with the objective of moving them to a new owner?

I will need to inventory the disassembled one for sure and do a visual for cracks. Is the broken (missing) center main cap an issue? With respect to the stuck one, should I attempt disassembly? Pull pan and heads?

Thanks for your advice.

I'd just price them cheap and not portray either as "good". You can't see cracks unless they're pretty wide. Unless you want to spend a couple hundred each to have them tanked and dye or mag-particle checked, just unload them.

I would just offer them as "as is where is". Price them attractively. You're not trying to pay off the house just clean up the garage.

I rebuild a few blocks. Unknown blocks bring around $100 in thses parts. Then another hundred and a few hours to disassemble it and take it in for cleaning. Then check for cracks and about 2 out of 3 have problems.
I would follow the advice above and sell them for small money to someone who is willing to risk a couple hundred bucks on a possible boat anchor.

Thanks to all for your ideas. I'm asking $300 for both
