82-A Rear View Mirror Placement

During it's production period, the 1928 thru June 1930 Model A/AA Ford/Budd 82-A Closed Cab saw 5 different positions,or placements, in which the Rear View Mirror could be placed onto the left A-79356 Pillar(Coupe) Assembly. This statement also applies to the 79-A Panel Delivery and the 85-A Panel Delivery. I am not sure if this statement holds true for the Right Hand Drive Vehicles. So, My question is... what was the Ford and Budd's reason for the (5) five different positions that could be found on a 82-A Closed Cab Body from December 1927 thru June 1930?? Thank You Gary email answers to formhals@whidbey.com or here on Barn.

Someone here has opined that the mirror was moved from its former position up near the windshield visor to a position mid-way down the pillar "For better use of the driver."

Perhaps one has to think of the "uses" of the 82-A pillar/cowl assembly? The same was used on the front of the station wagon, and certainly in use with different "load styles" of the AA truck, another application of the 82-A cab. I know several "lengths" of mirror stem were used depending on the load, some of these for EXTREMELY short term.

One imagines Ford with a "how can we cover all the bases in simplification?" sort of thought.
