8-track player

The guy I got my '47 from told me he had a 12v CB radio in the car in the 70's. He put a 12v car battery in the trunk and just wired his 12v accessories to that. I suppose it worked well enough. Easy enough to remove when the novelty wears off.

These are all good answers for a 50's / 60's look.. While in Viet Nam . I built a console type container with Radio / 8 track player with long leads to attach to a 12 battery system for long delivery / joy riding country viewing. I still have used and new 8 track / cassete / AM , FM radio's from a stereo shop back in the 1980's / 90's if any 1 needs help.

Thanks for thanks for that info, somehow I did not think it would be plug and play !!!
I inherited a whole bunch of tapes and was hoping to play them in my car. Sounds doubtful now.

By now those are probably going to be compromised from age and storage and they would probably break the first time you tried to use them
