8 ba camshaft

got a rusted 8ba block fro a guy lifters springs lifters all in dirty oil and cam got them all out the cam is good marked rc-2 e with a circle around it have not taken time to degree it any body seen one thank you

Cam specs have been posted before on here but it's been a while. They should come up on a search. The 8BA cam was the standard Ford cam till early 1951. It was designed to give good torque but the EAB may be a bit better grind for both torque and HP. It's not a lot so it's only a bit better,

If the cam is out you can see 8ba in the casting if it's a 8ba.

The Ford 8BA camshaft typically has a valve lift of approximately 0.307 inches for both intake and exhaust, with a duration of around 229 degrees for intake and 231 degrees for exhaust. This cam is designed for the 1949-51 Ford Flathead V8 engines.

I have two cams marked just EA. I don’t see them on the list. They have a lift of .330 if I remember correctly.

Most likely '52-'53 Ford (EAB) or Merc (EAC). Looks like they must use the same cam.
