6V LED Flasher with beeper and lamp

Hi,
With my new taillite LEDs and 30cp cowl incandescents, my present 6V two prong beeping flasher does not flash.
I purchased a chrome look license plate light at WalMart that I am thinking of mounting under the dash, in line with a 6V bulb, and am wondering which lead to use to pick up 6V output for the beeper and the lights, so I can continue to use my "Heavy Duty" flasher.
Any assistance would be appreciated.

I have the $20 Chinese "Signal Stat 800" knock-off turn signals.
(Yes, $20 from Gas Light Antique Ford's 2011 catalog.)

Bruce - I am guessing your are using the cowl incandescents and LEDs for turn signals. Thus, with one side (one 30cp and one LED) trying to flash (as in turning left), there isn't enough load to make the "Heavy Duty" flasher work. This is typical of most LED installations.

To answer you question on where to hook up the 6V bulb, I would have to see how the system was wired.

To further elaborate, maybe using a "Standard Flasher" instead of the "Heavy Duty" may solve your ploblem. Flashers aren't very expensive, so that might be worth a try.

Also, there are systems (both commercial and home-made) that will flash with no regard to the load. Tom Wesenberg recently answered such a question for me with a home-made flasher. See: http://www.fordbarn.com/forum/showthread.php?t=17397

Hope this starts you on the right track to solving your problem.
