I called Fleet Farm yesterday to ask the price for thier 6 volt battery, and much to my surprise, it was only $36 exchange. I thought the cheapest battery was now about $75.
Having owned several machines (vehicles) that use 6 Volt batteries I have found that the key to long life and starting is the connections. This is especially true with the Positive Ground system. Keep it grounded well and all contacts clean and the 6 Volt will serve you long and well.![]()
What's the best brand 6V battery for daily driver A ?
My local farm stores carry Exide 6V type 1 tractor batteries for $45 - are they any good or should I try NAPA, AutoZone, o'Reilly's or the like ?
Thanks for advice
