68C Top Question

I am installing an L/B top on my 68C S/W cabriolet. All is going well except I need to know how the welting tips are installed at the hinge point on the #1 bow. I have the correct shaped tips but I have never seen just where they are placed. Can someone post a picture of how they should be installed?

Thanks

Thanks Tom and Marco. Yes I do have the correct tips and your responses are just what I needed to know. Gary Johnson also replied to me and directed me to the Jan-Feb issue of the Model A News page 28 if anybody else is interested. It shows the correct tips.

What should the correct tips look like, and where do you get them ? My car is a 68-B. Are the tips the same ?

Thanks .

Eysyein,

The correct tips are shown in the 2011 Jan-Feb issue of the Model "A" News, page 28. These are shown on a 68C. I think they are the same for a 68B but I'm not sure as I only have 68C's. Someone else can chime in here.

I saw the tips for sale in the Cabriolet Club Newsletter. I don't know how accurate they were or if they are still available. I bought a set and they are different then the picture above. Anyone know if they are still available?

Paul, I re-read Marco's post and I assume he means the tips in he picture are not correct. The ones I bought out of the Cabriolet Newsletter years ago are different and have an angle on the back edge where the ones in the picture are straight. I don't have the Jan-Feb 2001 Model A News here in AZ to look and see if the tips I'm referring to are similar. Can someone scan the picture in the Model A News and post it?
