68C Interior

Could someone post some pictures of the 1931 68C Cabriolet interior?

I am particularlly interested in how the #1 wood bow is covered in fabric and if the upper metal bracket is placed on top of the fabric or is it covered.

Thanks,

Larry

If you goto the 68C article you will find Briggs photo 21. It has the partially installed top with the side curtain pulled back. You will find most of each part of the hinge is covered with cloth.

If you look at good originals you will find Ford did not make the hinges very pretty. Just the area at the pivot area is sort of made nice, the rest is just untouched casting.

If you do not have the 68C article it is in Vol 6 of the How to Restore Series published by one of the club.

Bob and Kevin,

Thanks for your quick replys. I will look at your suggested references.

So thats what that hole is for on the top irons. The joys of never really seeing a whole properly restored 68C up close.

I hope my plater did not make the hole too small to get the catch through.

*the picture showing the catch with the hand holding the flap, picture #2.
