68 Shelby hood

What kind of paint does it have?
Are there any cracks?
Does it still have the pop-up hood retainers, one in each corner of the front?

If this is an original and not a repop.................and everything about the hood is good........................I would say at least a $1000 bucks.
Tony Branda sells a short version of the hood to fit standard 67/68 Mustangs and it goes for $600.

Just as a point of reference, the Shelby's had a longer nose than the standard Mustang and this hood would only fit a Shelby.............assuming
you didn't pay much and it is in relatively good shape you have something a restorer would die for as they just don't fall off trees these days!

IMHO

I have had the hood for a long time, around 1975.The car it come from was in a fender bender and the hood has a small amount of damage on the front edge, very easy fix. Has the ram air piece on the under side that the KR's have. I have a 68 GT 350 and really do not need the hood. I was thinking of selling it. The last one I saw the guy was asking $2500 at the Ford show in Columbus but then again he didn't sell it. The hood hold downs where used on the replacement hood, green color. Thanks for the input.

it has value just in the present day (econs) big ticket items are gonna move slow but i would think 1500-1700 would be fair and it should move

if ya hold it for a few more years and wait for the times to get better it may bring close to 2500

depends on how much you need the money

im not into old cars for the money because i have none...... money
