67 Mustang Brake Drum Change

I bought a 1967 Mustang. It has 4 bolt brake drums. I am putting a rear axle in that has a 5 bolt pattern. I therefore need to change the front brake drums to a 5 bolt pattern. Does anybody in Fordbarn land know what parts besides the drums need to be changed? Are there different sizes of drums or can I just swap drums only? Thanks for your help. This car will be a 390 with a top loader 4spd when I'm done. "Lord Willing".
Thanks for your help,

a friend with a 68 mustang did the same as you and used granada front spindles and disc brakes.a bolt on.

Must have had a six cyl in it originally with a 4 lug pattern. '67 was a transition year for trhe Mustang and had a lot of 1 year only parts on it. Check on the steering linkage for the S code and springs, front and rear. Center links, steering arms, tie rods, power steering may all be different than the six and won't necessarily interchange into a V8 powered car.

Thank you Darrell for the excellent idea of the Granada discs & spindles. Do you know what year the Granada was that the parts came from? Geo.

1975 through 1980 Ford Granada, Merc Monarch, and Lincoln Versailles all have the same disc brake front end that should work for you.

Hi, I have an original set of 68 mustang disc brakes, rebuilt. Clean, painted, new rotors, new bearings, new seals, rebuilt calipers, pads, completely assembled and ready to install on your mustang. They are the same as granada. $525 plus shipping. daverace@sbcglobal.net

Use the 68 spindles, the Granada spindles fit, but they will create a slight bump steer problem as the geometry for the steering arms is slightly different.
